Central Texas
The 2027 Grow Retreat will be held in Central Texas — currently searching Austin and San Antonio.
We select a new venue every year.
Not for the sake of change but because we care about making this feel fresh and different.
Why we don't announce
the venue early
We design the experience first...
...Then find the venue that can support it.
Which means we often do not announce our venue until sometime during the Fall registration window.
What we're optimizing for
Where most events stop at "nice hotel" and "has capacity," we go further.
We follow a checklist to keep an eye on how the space actually affects your brain.
Natural light + control
We prioritize strong natural light because it helps you stay alert and engaged.
We also need control.
The ability to shape lighting throughout the day so attention stays on the work, not the room.
Layout that reduces friction
We don't work with fixed setups. We want to control:
- Clear sightlines from every seat
- Space to move and reset
- A feeling of connection without crowding
- Reducing cognitive load through table and seat configuration
Our spaces keep your brain capacity freed up to focus on what you're learning.
Space that supports how you think
We're fanatics for the details that no one notices.
Ceiling height. Room flow. What it feels like to sit in the space for hours.
Because environment shapes thinking. And we're not interested in neutral environments that do nothing.
A place you actually want to be
Our spaces need to feel good to be in.
Comfortable. Clean. Visually calm.
Surrounding areas matter too.
Arrive early. Get a great meal. Take a walk. Settle in before the event starts.
Where you'll stay
We coordinate discounted hotel rates nearby. Details are shared in the fall so you can book easily and stay close to the group — in a timeframe you're actually thinking about that!
