The Not-So-Brief Version
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to draw cartoons, does it? Pat said "why take the chance" and got his degree in aerospace engineering in order to attend a school with a daily paper. In 1989 be began working for The New Yorker as a cartoonist which proved that he has the sweet spot of logic and creativity to solve any kind of problem. He has worked as a Clio-winning ad writer, voice actor, illustrator, comedian, and aerospace engineer. In addition to the books he has illustrated (like Eats, Shoots, & Leaves Illustrated Edition), Pat has penned his own books including Captain Dad: The Manly Art of Stay-at-Home Fatherhood and What Would Satan Do? which have inspired thousands.
His diverse experience and passion for solutions drove him to co-found The Drawing Board, a company dedicated to enabling businesses to discover both the problems hidden inside and solutions necessary for growth, and speak on stages such as Microsoft, Ethisphere, and The Red Cross. Finding the humor in any situation, Pat is adept at relieving the pressure of a problem through the power of play and thereby enabling solution integration.
