Yu-Kai is known as the godfather of gamification and has remained at the forefront of the industry for more than two decades. In the past he has headed up Creative Labs as well as Digital Commerce for HTC, and spearheaded innovation in VR/AR and the Metaverse. Additionally, he was the Chief Experience Officer of the Blockchain company Decentral, working with the Co-Founder of Ethereum Anthony Di lorio to create signature Blockchain experiences. As the Original Creator of the Octalysis framework and Founding Partner of The Octalysis Group, Yu-Kai operates as the Chief Creation Officer for the organization while also functioning as the Co-Founder and Chief Experience of Metablox - an NFT platform powered by Real World Places and Real Life Memories.
His book, Actionable Gamification: Beyond Points, Badges, and Leaderboards, is referenced by over 2,200 Ph. D. Thesis and Academic Journals.
